Jill Scott Returns with World Tour

Jill Scott announced a 36-date "To Whom This May Concern" world tour supporting her first studio album in over a decade. The tour kicks off June 4 at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium with stops across the U.S., Europe, UK, and South Africa — featuring collaborations from JID, Ab-Soul, Tierra Whack, and Too $hort.

The new album, "To Whom This May Concern," is Scott's sixth studio effort and her first since 2015's "Woman," which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The album was released on February 13, 2026, and features every artist slated to join her on the world tour. While this is her first album in over a decade, Scott has remained active. In 2020, she celebrated the 20th anniversary of her debut album with the "Who is Jill Scott?" tour. She also participated in a widely viewed Verzuz battle against Erykah Badu on Instagram Live, which drew over 700,000 viewers, including Michelle Obama and Janet Jackson. The tour's kickoff at the Ryman Auditorium holds historical significance. The Nashville venue is a National Historic Landmark known as the "Mother Church of Country Music," having hosted the Grand Ole Opry from 1943 to 1974 and playing a key role in the birth of bluegrass. The lineup of supporting acts bridges multiple generations of hip-hop. It includes JID, an Atlanta rapper from J. Cole's Dreamville Records known for his intricate lyricism, and fellow Philadelphian Tierra Whack, an experimental artist who gained acclaim for her 15-minute visual album, "Whack World." Joining them are West Coast veterans Ab-Soul and Too $hort. Ab-Soul is a member of the hip-hop supergroup Black Hippy, alongside Kendrick Lamar and Schoolboy Q. Too $hort is a pioneering rapper who began his career in Oakland in the early 1980s and is known for his influence on West Coast hip-hop.
