Molt.id Launches AI Domains on Solana

A new project called Molt.id has launched what it claims is the first AI agent domain system on the Solana blockchain. The system allows users to mint an NFT that represents ownership of an AI agent domain.

- The cost to mint a `.molt` domain is a one-time fee of 0.4 SOL, which includes the NFT, a personal AI agent, an immutable wallet, and persistent data storage with no recurring monthly bills. - Each domain is a Metaplex Core NFT on the Solana blockchain, and the associated AI agent is a personal OpenClaw instance powered by Cloudflare's Moltworker, which runs on-demand to eliminate idle costs. - The system is designed to solve the complexity and high cost of deploying AI agents, which often requires expensive hardware, server maintenance, and specialized technical knowledge. - An immutable domain wallet is created with each mint; it has no private keys and requires the owner to co-sign all transactions, enhancing security. - The AI agents can be connected to chat platforms such as Telegram, Discord, and Slack, allowing them to interact where users are most active. - These agents are capable of performing on-chain transactions, including trading tokens, and can be trained for specific tasks to be sold on NFT marketplaces like Tensor. - All agent data, including its personality, skills, and memory, is stored on Cloudflare R2 and is directly tied to the NFT, ensuring data portability and verifiability. - The project launched a native token, $MOLTID, on February 25, 2026, to facilitate a token-powered ecosystem for the autonomous agent economy.
