SpongeBob Special at NEMO/WONDR Amsterdam

- Immersive SpongeBob anniversary experience for families and kids. - Runs 18 April–5 May 2026 (closed 27 April) at NEMO/WONDR in Amsterdam. - Details and tickets at yourlittleblackbook.me.

Amsterdam families can visit a SpongeBob-themed add-on inside WONDR Experience through May 5, with the venue closed on April 27. (yourlittleblackbook.me) The activation opened on April 18 at WONDR Experience on Meeuwenlaan 88 in Amsterdam Noord, one Metro stop from Amsterdam Centraal Station. WONDR’s ticketing page says the SpongeBob area is included with regular, kids, and family admission. (wondrexperience.com) WONDR says the special lets visitors walk through Bikini Bottom settings including SpongeBob’s pineapple house, a “secret patty vault,” jellyfish-catching activities, and a driver’s-license challenge. The same ticket also covers 1,500 square meters of the venue’s other interactive rooms, plus access to the Galaxy Café and merchandise shop. (wondrexperience.com) The timing lines up with the Dutch May holiday period, when Amsterdam listings typically shift toward family outings and school-break activities. Your Little Black Book placed the SpongeBob event in both its weekend guide and its roundup of things to do with kids during the May holidays. (yourlittleblackbook.me) WONDR has built its business around photo-friendly immersive rooms rather than a traditional museum format. Its current ticket page advertises 15 interactive rooms, an average visit of about 90 minutes, and automatic photo and video capture through QR-linked cameras in each room. (tickets.wondrexperience.com) The SpongeBob tie-in also extends a format WONDR has used before. Dutch family listings show the venue ran a previous SpongeBob special from October 17, 2024 to February 14, 2025, suggesting the character has become a recurring licensed theme inside the Amsterdam attraction. (go-kids.nl) WONDR says children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult, with a maximum of three children per adult, and that the venue is wheelchair-friendly. It also says online booking saves €2 per ticket compared with buying at the door. (tickets.wondrexperience.com; wondrexperience.com) For visitors deciding whether to go before the run ends, the practical point is simple: the SpongeBob rooms are not sold as a separate event, but as part of a standard WONDR visit that is on sale now through May 5.
