Salesforce focuses partner program on AI outcomes

Salesforce is revamping its consulting partner program to prioritize AI outcomes, pushing agencies to focus on business impact in their technical solutions.

The revamped program reflects a shift towards "outcome architecture," moving away from traditional systems integration. Salesforce executives state that these changes are designed to align partners with the company's AI-driven strategy, especially its Agentforce platform. The program now has a simplified two-tier structure: Select and Summit, replacing the previous four-tier system. Salesforce has also dramatically reduced the number of partner credentials, consolidating roughly 170 badges into 28 core competencies. Partners are now ranked as Accredited or Expert based on demonstrated delivery capability. Salesforce is investing heavily in success-based incentives, aiming for $1 billion in revenue from partner incentives. The updated incentive structure expands rewards for lead submissions and introduces incentives for pre-sales activities. It also provides post-sales implementation subsidies tied to agent activation and consumption. The shift emphasizes verifiable customer outcomes, measuring partner success through customer satisfaction scores, specializations, and competency certifications. This streamlined framework aims to reduce ambiguity for partners and allow them to focus more on strategic delivery and measurable business impact.
