Slice House Pizza to Open New Fremont Location
Slice House by Tony Gemignani, a pizzeria founded by a 13-time World Pizza Champion, is opening a new location in Fremont, California. The restaurant will be located at 43456 Boscell Road, replacing a former Dog Haus establishment. This expansion adds to Gemignani's growing presence in the Bay Area.
- The new Fremont location is personal for founder Tony Gemignani, who was born and raised in the city and graduated from Washington High School there. The franchisees, Hersh Mahavni and Pritika Rajasanshi, were classmates of Gemignani's. - Gemignani is the first American and non-Neapolitan to win the World Pizza Cup in Naples, Italy. He is also a four-time Guinness World Record holder for pizza-related feats, including the largest pizza ever made. - Slice House launched a national franchise program in July 2022 and now has over 124 units open or in development across states like California, Texas, Utah, and Colorado. The company was recently named the #1 Overall Brand in Pizza Marketplace's Top 100 Movers & Shakers for 2024. - The menu features a variety of pizza styles, including New York, Sicilian, Detroit, and Grandma-style pies. One of its award-winning pizzas is the Cal Italia, a Gold Medal winner at the Food Network Pizza Champions Challenge, which features Asiago, Gorgonzola, mozzarella, fig preserve, prosciutto di Parma, and a balsamic reduction. - Beyond restaurants, Gemignani runs the International School of Pizza in San Francisco, where he has certified chefs from around the world.
