Sabalenka Advances at Indian Wells

Aryna Sabalenka dominated Naomi Osaka 6-2, 6-4 to reach the Indian Wells quarterfinals for the third time.

Sabalenka's powerful serve was a key factor, as she won 80% of her first-serve points. Osaka struggled to handle Sabalenka's pace and aggression throughout the match. This marks Sabalenka's third quarterfinal appearance at Indian Wells, having previously reached this stage in 2019 and 2023. She is currently ranked No. 2 in the world and is looking to capture her second title of the year. In the quarterfinals, Sabalenka will face Coco Gauff, in what is expected to be a thrilling contest. Sabalenka holds a 4-2 head-to-head record against Gauff.
