This sell-off coincides with Arbitrum's ongoing token vesting schedule. Following an initial one-year cliff after the March 2023 airdrop, tokens allocated to the team and investors unlock on a monthly basis. These unlocks periodically introduce new supply to the market, which can contribute to downward price pressure. Historically, large transfers from wallets associated with the Arbitrum Foundation and its developers, Offchain Labs, have sparked market speculation. In one instance, the foundation faced community backlash for moving 700 million ARB to a multisignature wallet without prior DAO approval, highlighting the market's sensitivity to treasury movements. Despite the bearish market sentiment, the Arbitrum network is actively pursuing major technical and ecosystem developments.
