The Lam Family College of Business says the program will bring together students, faculty and community partners to reflect on the 2026 tax season and recognize service work. (webapps.sfsu.edu) (cob.sfsu.edu) Volunteer Income Tax Assistance is an Internal Revenue Service-backed program that offers free tax preparation to eligible filers, including low-income taxpayers, students, older adults, people with limited English proficiency and people with disabilities. San Francisco State says its site is co-sponsored by the Accounting Department and the Lam Family College of Business. (cob.sfsu.edu) That service role is the link to Business Ethics Week, which the Center for Ethical and Sustainable Business is running from April 20 through April 24. The center calls this year’s program its 21st annual Business Ethics Week. (cob.sfsu.edu) San Francisco State has used CampusMemo and its college event pages to promote the ceremony in the run-up to April 21. The event appeared in the university’s April 13 CampusMemo issue and again in the April 20 issue. (campusmemo.sfsu.edu 1) (campusmemo.sfsu.edu 2) The ceremony closes a tax-season campus program that trains volunteers for Internal Revenue Service certification and sends them to help local filers at no cost. By late afternoon Tuesday, the university is shifting from preparation and filing to recognition. (develop.sfsu.edu) (cob.sfsu.edu)
