New Stadium-Style Sports Bar Opens in Pleasanton

A new sports bar and restaurant designed to replicate a stadium experience has opened in Pleasanton. The venue includes a main restaurant, private suites for viewing, and an outdoor patio, aiming to become a major community gathering spot.

The new venue at 5121 Hopyard Road is named Pivot Craft Kitchen & Sports Bar. It's a project from the Sabio Hospitality Group, which also operates the well-regarded Sabio on Main in Pleasanton. The expansive 10,000-square-foot location aims to be a major gathering place for sports and group events. The culinary program is led by Chef Francis X. Hogan, a five-time Michelin Guide-recognized chef from Sabio on Main. He is developing a menu of "elevated sports bar fare," which will include staples like nachos, wings, burgers, and cheesesteak sandwiches. The bar is already open, with the main dining room expected to follow in six to eight weeks. A major feature is the availability of four private suites, each designed to accommodate up to 15 guests for private viewings and events. These suites offer the unique ability to play Xbox or take a Zoom call while enjoying the restaurant's high-end food offerings. For larger groups, Pivot features a Topgolf Swing Suite experience with a capacity for up to 75 people. This interactive amenity provides a significant entertainment option beyond traditional sports viewing. The venue also boasts a large outdoor patio, which is roughly the same size as the main dining room. This outdoor space will feature five fireplaces and provide seating for over 100 guests.
