Janu Dubai Opens with Focus on Well-Being
Janu Dubai, a new hotel concept from the Aman Group, has officially opened. The property is positioned to redefine modern hospitality with immersive experiences centered on creativity, connection, and guest well-being, distinguishing it from the seclusion-focused Aman brand.
- While the first Janu property, Janu Tokyo, opened in March 2024, the Dubai location is slated to open in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) in 2027. - The Janu brand, whose name means "soul" in Sanskrit, was created by parent company Aman to be a more energetic and social counterpart to the seclusion and "peace" associated with the main Aman brand. - The property is designed by the Pritzker Prize-winning architectural firm Herzog & de Meuron and is their first project in the Middle East. - The development will feature 150 hotel rooms and a highly limited collection of just 57 branded private residences, ranging from two-bedroom apartments to a triplex penthouse. - A key feature of the Dubai property will be the first-ever Janu Club, an exclusive, invitation-only private members' club focused on social connection. - To ensure exclusivity for owners, the residences will have a separate private entrance and lifts, and the entire 34th floor will be a residents-only sanctuary with a private lounge and infinity-edge pool. - The project is a mixed-use development by H&H Development that also includes premium offices and retail spaces designed around a reimagined souk courtyard at ground level. - Aman Group's expansion in the Middle East also includes upcoming properties in Al-Ula, Wadi Safar, and Diriyah Gate, signaling a significant focus on the region.
