Supreme x Nike CB 94 Drops
Supreme x Nike Air Max 2 CB 94 Low is dropping this week in three colorways, making it a highlight for collectors and retro basketball fans. Nike just released Bronny James' first basketball shoe — a player-exclusive colorway of the Nike LeBron Witness 9, marking a milestone for the rising star. The Air Jordan 3 "Spring is in the Air" releases March 28 for $210, featuring pastel hues and embroidered elephant print.
The Supreme collaboration reworks Charles Barkley's iconic 1994 signature shoe, a model originally designed by Tinker Hatfield to match the basketball hall-of-famer's powerful and tenacious style of play. The original high-top featured Air Max2 technology, which used different PSI levels for cushioning and stability, and a distinctive straitjacket-inspired support system. Supreme's version adapts the low-top model for skateboarding, adding premium leather and perforated reflective mesh underlays. This release transforms the '90s basketball classic into a skate-ready silhouette, offered in black, white/gum, and metallic gold colorways. The global launch is set for March 5th, with a subsequent release in Asia on March 7th. Subtle co-branding includes red Supreme box logos on the tongue and insole, allowing the shoe's aggressive design to remain the focus. Bronny James' player-exclusive shoe is a special colorway of his father's budget-friendly Nike LeBron Witness line, not his own signature model. He signed a Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deal with Nike on October 10, 2022, while still a senior in high school, continuing his family's long-standing relationship with the brand. His estimated NIL worth is around $5.9 million as of May 2024. The "Bronny James" Nike LeBron Witness 9, priced at $115, features a Desert Pink and Pink Rise upper with his signature logo on the heels and name stitched into the toe box. For performance, the shoe incorporates a full-length ReactX foam midsole for responsiveness and a rubber outsole designed for lateral support. The Air Jordan 3 "Spring is in the Air" is set for a March 28th release and draws inspiration from the pastel colors of Easter. The design, created by the legendary Tinker Hatfield, first debuted in 1988 and is known for its visible Air unit and iconic elephant print. This version features a white leather upper with pastel green embroidered elephant print and includes shades of jade, pink, and iris whisper. This new Air Jordan 3 will be available in full-family sizing, with the men's version retailing for $215. The design incorporates vintage touches with a muslin-finished midsole for an aged look and features classic Nike Air branding on the heel.
