Northann Corp., a producer of sustainable, natural material-based interior finishes, announced that the NYSE American exchange has accepted its plan to regain compliance with listing standards. The move stabilizes a key innovator in the eco-friendly materials space.
The non-compliance notice from NYSE American was issued on December 11, 2025, because Northann's stockholders' equity fell below the required $2 million threshold for companies that have reported losses in two of the last three fiscal years. The company now has until June 8, 2027, to meet the exchange's continued listing standards. During this period, its stock will continue to trade under the ticker "NCL" but with an added ".BC" designation to indicate it is below compliance. Northann specializes in 3D-printed interior finishes through its flagship brand, Benchwick. A core component of its sustainable mission is the "Blue11" material, a substrate for flooring and wall panels made from recycled ocean plastic waste. The company holds over 60 granted or pending patents for its technologies. A key patented technology, "Dynamic Surface Enhancement" (DSE), allows the company to create authentic textures and realistic details in its 3D-printed products, setting them apart from traditional finishes. This process aims to deliver both superior quality and aesthetics. For designers, Benchwick utilizes an AI-powered tool called the "Envision Engine". This platform can generate diverse and realistic images of wood and tile, offering a wider range of creative possibilities for custom projects. As part of its recovery and growth strategy, the company's 2026 roadmap includes a strategic expansion into major North American retail channels. Northann is also focused on forming synergistic partnerships with manufacturers in the United States to scale its business.
