Interstellar Object Defies Physics

Interstellar object 3I/ATLAS, nearing Jupiter, has jets arranged in a way that's statistically impossible for natural comets, hinting at possible tech design.

The atypical jet arrangement on 3I/ATLAS suggests an internal structure or mechanism unlike any observed comet. Computer models struggle to replicate the observed jet patterns using only natural processes. The object's discoverers at the ATLAS project are now working with other astronomers to gather more data as it approaches its closest point to the sun. Spectroscopic analysis may reveal the composition of the ejected material, providing further clues. Harvard's Avi Loeb has previously suggested that some interstellar objects could be artificial in origin. While the evidence is preliminary, 3I/ATLAS is another case that warrants further scientific scrutiny.
