Austin Andrade, a rapidly rising star from Texas, matched Hooper's point total through consistent high placings. Known for his incredible deadlifting power, Andrade placed second in the opening event with a 976-pound (442.7-kilogram) pull. He entered the professional strongman scene in 2022 and has already made a significant impact, winning the 2023 Shaw Classic Open to earn his spot at the 2024 Strongest Man on Earth competition. On the women's side, the leaderboard is also deadlocked. Olga Liashchuk of Ukraine, a two-time Arnold Strongwoman Classic champion (2019, 2020), is vying for her third title. Her day one performance was highlighted by a strong showing in the Elephant Bar Deadlift and the Monster Dumbbell Challenge. Sharing the lead with the veteran Liashchuk is the 2024 Arnold Strongwoman Classic champion, Angelica Jardine. Jardine, representing the United States, showcased her prowess by winning the Stone to Shoulder event, the final discipline of day one. The champions will be crowned after three more events on the final day: The Stone Drag, the Austrian Oak (for men) / American Oak (for women) lift, and a sandbag race up a ramp called Ramp Rage.
