Mariah Carey and Shenseea collaborated on the new R&B/reggae album "Sugar Sweet" [https://x.com/i/status/2031111817460658416].
"Sugar Sweet," which dropped July 25, 2025, is the second single from Mariah's album "Here For It All," which came out September 26. Mariah said she always envisioned Kehlani and Shenseea on the track, praising their unique styles and how they made the record feel younger and more fun. Carey co-produced "Sugar Sweet" with HARV, and it was co-written by Felisha King Harvey from Cherish. The song blends dancehall and R&B, creating a flirty, summery vibe. Shenseea's contribution almost didn't make the final cut, with the last four bars of her verse initially removed. However, she later performed the full verse on Instagram Live. A music video is in the works, with Mariah confirming that they are trying to coordinate schedules to film it. In the meantime, a lyric video was released August 1, 2025, featuring the lyrics over a pink cloud background and vertical videos of each artist.
