Miami Music Week kicks off
Miami Music Week kicked off, featuring Hip-Hop, R&B, and EDM performances including sets by Justice and Black Coffee.
Miami Music Week, running from March 24-29, transforms Miami into a global dance music hotspot, drawing top DJs, producers, and fans. More than 200 events take place across clubs, hotels, and venues in the Greater Miami area. The Winter Music Conference (WMC), an electronic music industry gathering, is also taking place from March 24-26 at the Kimpton Epic Hotel in Downtown Miami. WMC will feature industry and creator programming tracks with panels, workshops, networking sessions, gear demos and showcases. Ultra Music Festival closes out Miami Music Week from March 27-29 at Bayfront Park. About 75% of Ultra attendees are from outside Miami, injecting millions into the local economy through lodging, food, and transportation. Miami's festival calendar, including Miami Music Week and Ultra, has become an important contributor to the local economy. Miami-Dade County's arts and culture sector generates $2.1 billion in economic activity and supports 31,515 jobs. Ultra Music Festival generates about $79 million annually for Miami-Dade, including $32 million in labor income and $50 million in GDP contributions.
