Higgsfield Launches Web-Based AI Video Tool

A new platform named Higgsfield is aiming to make cinematic-quality AI video generation more accessible through a web-based interface. The tool integrates multiple AI models for both image and video creation in one place. It is designed to lower the technical barrier for creative teams to rapidly prototype concepts, social assets, and campaign mockups.

Higgsfield's founder and CEO, Alex Mashrabov, previously served as the Head of Generative AI at Snap. His prior startup, AI Factory, which developed technology for real-time face filters, was acquired by Snap for $166 million. The company has demonstrated rapid commercial adoption, reaching a $200 million annual run rate in less than nine months since its launch. This growth was fueled by attracting over 15 million users and securing a total of $130 million in Series A funding, valuing the startup at over $1.3 billion. A key differentiator is the platform's focus on cinematic camera control, offering over 50 professional presets for complex movements like dolly zooms and FPV drone shots. This feature, praised by *The Matrix* VFX artist John Gaeta, aims to make difficult shots accessible with a single click. Higgsfield operates as a unified studio by integrating top-tier third-party models, including OpenAI's Sora, Google's Veo, and Kuaishou's Kling, into a single production workflow. This allows creators to access a range of capabilities without needing to switch between different platforms. The platform's user base has shifted decisively towards professional applications, with social media marketers now accounting for approximately 85% of total usage. Many creative teams are adopting Higgsfield as an end-to-end production pipeline, bypassing traditional studio workflows for ideation, animation, and final publication.
