Hyrox Worlds set in Stockholm

The Hyrox season will culminate with the 2026 World Championships in Stockholm, Sweden, scheduled for June 18–21, giving athletes a firm target on the calendar (cna.id).

Hyrox now has a fixed finish line for its 2025-26 season: the World Championships will be held in Stockholm from June 18 to June 21, 2026, at Strawberry Arena, with only qualified athletes invited to race. The official event page says the field comes from the top 0.5% of Hyrox athletes worldwide. (hyrox.com) That date matters because Hyrox is not a one-off obstacle race with a new course every weekend. It uses the same format everywhere: eight 1-kilometer runs, each followed by one workout station, all staged indoors so a result in Chicago can be compared with a result in Singapore or Madrid. (hyrox.com) The workout side is what makes the sport look like a gym session stretched into a race. The eight stations are SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmer’s carry, sandbag lunges, and wall balls, in that exact order every time. (hyroxapac.zendesk.com) Because the course never changes, Hyrox can run like a global league instead of a local event business. The company says more than 1,000,000 athletes will race during the 2025-26 season, which is why one championship weekend can pull together qualifiers from dozens of cities into one scoreboard. (hyrox.com) There are also several ways into that weekend, and they are not all the same race. Hyrox runs individual divisions, doubles divisions where partners run together and split the stations, and relay divisions where four teammates divide the course into two runs and one station each. (hyrox.com, hyrox.com) For age-group athletes, the route to Stockholm is simple on paper and brutal in practice. The official World Championships page says racers qualify at global Hyrox events during the same season by finishing in the top placings of their division and age group. (hyrox.com) For the sport’s fastest names, Hyrox runs a separate elite track called Elite 15, which is the top tier of professional racing. Hyrox says those athletes battle through majors and regional events for places at the World Championships, and it is also adding a points-based qualification system starting with the 2026-27 season. (hyrox.com, hyrox.com) Stockholm also gets a bigger role than just hosting one final. Hyrox says Strawberry Arena will stage the 2026 championship weekend, and independent event listings tied to the official calendar show four days built around elite races, age-group races, and pro doubles competition. (hyrox.com, roxradar.com) The choice of Sweden fits the way Hyrox has been expanding across Europe while turning indoor arenas into spectator venues. The Stockholm race page for a regular-season event promises leaderboard timing, split times, qualification slots, and a “Thunderdome” viewing area, which is Hyrox’s way of making a mass-participation race feel like a stadium sport. (hyrox.com) So the Stockholm announcement is less about tourism and more about calendar control. If you are chasing a qualifying place in the 2025-26 season, the target is now exact: Strawberry Arena, June 18 to June 21, 2026, at the end of a season Hyrox expects to draw more than 1,000,000 racers worldwide.
