India Targets $200B for AI Data Center Investment

This investment is expected to stimulate an additional $150 billion in related sectors like server manufacturing and sovereign cloud platforms. - Reliance Industries is also a key player, planning to build a massive 3GW data center in Jamnagar, Gujarat, which will be powered entirely by green energy. This project is part of the company's "AI Everywhere for Everyone" vision and involves a partnership with Nvidia to develop India-specific large language models. - The planned expansion will dramatically increase India's data center capacity, which is projected to grow from 1.3 GW in 2024 to as much as 9.2 GW by 2030.
