Nigel Sylvester Delivers Jordans to MJ

BMX star Nigel Sylvester hand-delivered his upcoming Air Jordan 4 collaboration to Michael Jordan himself. The gesture highlights the ongoing intersection between athletic stardom and sneaker design culture. Sylvester continues to cement his place in sneaker culture through high-profile collaborations and personal connections with basketball royalty.

The upcoming Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 4 is officially titled "Brick After Brick" and features a "Sail" upper with "Cinnabar" red accents, drawing inspiration from the classic "Fire Red" colorway. This release is a direct follow-up to his 2025 "Brick by Brick" Air Jordan 4, which came in a "Firewood Orange" and was widely considered one of the most popular sneakers of the year. The theme evolves from "Brick by Brick," which centered on the patient process of building success, to "Brick After Brick," which focuses on the discipline required to maintain that success. This narrative is woven into the shoe's design, which includes premium full-grain leather, a mini embroidered Swoosh on the toe box, and a special brick-textured heel tab. A key detail that sets Sylvester's Jordans apart is the "BIKE AIR" branding on the heel, a direct nod to his BMX career, replacing the traditional "Nike Air" logo. This unique branding first appeared on his Jordan Air Ship PE in 2023 and has become a signature element of his collaborations. The shoe also features "Jordan Biking Co." branding on the inside of the tongue. Long before this high-profile collaboration, Sylvester's relationship with Nike began in 2005 when he joined the Nike 6.0 team as their second BMX athlete. He officially signed with Jordan Brand in September 2021, becoming the first-ever BMX rider to do so. The hype surrounding the "Brick After Brick" Jordan 4 surged when Michael Jordan himself was seen wearing the unreleased pair at Disney World in February 2026. This rare public endorsement from "His Airness" immediately elevated the sneaker's visibility and desirability within the culture. The collaboration is expected to release on May 9, 2026, with a retail price of $225. The sneakers will come in a special all-white, brick-themed box that continues the storytelling, with the shoes packaged like traditional clay bricks inside.
