Miele will use Milan Design Week 2026 to show a kitchen concept that shifts the room from fixed workspace to adaptive living space. (prnewswire.com) The company said the concept, called “Designed to Move with You,” will appear in two places: Miele’s EuroCucina booth and its redesigned Experience Center in Milan’s Brera Design District. The announcement was released April 13, 2026, one week before Fuorisalone opens on April 20. (prnewswire.com) (fuorisalone.it) In plain terms, Miele is arguing that the kitchen now has to do more jobs in less space. Its display pairs appliances with furniture systems, including a “Compact Living: Kitchen Unit powered by Hettich” study for smaller urban homes. (prnewswire.com) (fuorisalone.it) That pitch lands at EuroCucina, the kitchen-focused trade fair inside Milan’s annual design week circuit, where appliance brands use installations to test how cooking technology fits into broader home design. Miele’s own events page calls EuroCucina “the world’s most important kitchen trade fair.” (miele.com) (fuorisalone.it) Miele’s product examples are concrete. The company said its KM 8000 induction hobs work with M Sense cookware that uses as many as three temperature sensors to regulate heat automatically so food does not burn or boil over. (prnewswire.com) It also used the show to preview a 14-centimeter steam drawer and said a new 3-in-1 setup combining that drawer with a 45-centimeter compact oven with microwave in a 60-centimeter niche is due in March 2027. The company said the format is aimed at baking, reheating and steam cooking in tighter footprints. (prnewswire.com) On the software side, Miele said it will demonstrate CulinaryCoach, an artificial intelligence cooking assistant that answers preparation questions, suggests steps and sends settings to connected appliances. That places the concept inside Miele’s existing push into networked domestic appliances rather than as a stand-alone design exercise. (prnewswire.com) (miele.com) The public-facing part of the installation runs at the Miele Experience Center at Corso Garibaldi 99 in Milan, with Fuorisalone listing exhibitions there from April 20 through April 26. Miele’s showroom page lists the same address for its Milan Experience Center. (fuorisalone.it) (miele.com) The thread running through the project is not a single appliance but a layout idea: a kitchen that disappears into the rest of the home until it is needed. Miele will try to make that case in Milan next week, in a citywide design festival that Fuorisalone says runs April 20 to April 26, 2026. (prnewswire.com) (fuorisalone.it)
