Deep and Extreme Indonesia returns to Jakarta on April 23–26, with a four-day expo at Hall B of the Jakarta International Convention Center. (eventguide.id) Organizer Dyandra Event Solutions said the 2026 edition will run under the theme “#DAREtoXPLORE: Waves of Collaboration” and pair diving, marine tourism, outdoor adventure, and lifestyle brands on one show floor. (eventguide.id) The event also adds an international link with ADEX 360, or Asia Dive Expo, a Singapore-founded network that Kompas.com said has operated since 1994 and already spans markets including Japan, China, the Maldives, the Philippines, Malaysia, India, and Australia. (kompas.com) That matters for a show that has increasingly pitched itself as more than a consumer fair. Dyandra said DXI is meant to connect businesses, hobby communities, tourism players, and new talent across Indonesia’s diving and outdoor sectors. (eventguide.id) Indonesia’s tourism officials have been making a similar case for two years. At the 2024 opening, the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry said diving, surfing, and other special-interest trips can lift visitor spending and length of stay, not just arrival counts. (eventguide.id) This year’s program is built to draw both trade visitors and the general public. Event materials list Diving and Underwater Experience zones, adventure and outdoor activities, workshop and sharing sessions, and family programs for children. (eventguide.id) The competition lineup leans heavily into spectacle and creator culture, with underwater mermaid, photo, dance, modelling, and adventure shootout contests on the schedule. Dyandra has also been running a pre-event series called “DXI First Wave” with influencers, communities, and travel creators. (eventguide.id) Visitor information shows DXI is selling presale tickets at Rp 50,000 and a four-day pass at Rp 150,000, while children under 6, adults over 65, and Passport DXI holders get free entry. The official site also says beginners are welcome and can use interactive zones, talk shows, and demonstrations to try new sports. (deepextremeindonesia.com) The show has shifted shape before. Event Guide reported DXI 2024 used Hall A-B at the Jakarta Convention Center, and Kompas.com reported plans in late 2025 for DXI 2026 to use Hall A-B as well, while the current visitor page and April 21 event notice point specifically to Hall B. (eventguide.id) (kompas.com) (deepextremeindonesia.com) (eventguide.id) For Jakarta this week, the immediate test is simple: whether a niche expo for divers, overlanders, and adventure travelers can keep growing into a broader tourism marketplace with international partners and paying visitors under one roof.
