NVIDIA invests in Thinking Machines Lab

NVIDIA is investing heavily in Mira Murati's Thinking Machines Lab, signaling confidence in "AI-native" infrastructure reported.

The partnership includes Thinking Machines Lab deploying at least one gigawatt of NVIDIA's next-generation Vera Rubin AI systems, starting early next year. This infrastructure will support the training of advanced AI models and platforms. The collaboration also involves joint efforts to optimize training and serving systems specifically for NVIDIA hardware. The goal is to broaden access to advanced AI models for various organizations, including enterprises, research institutions, and the scientific community. Mira Murati, formerly CTO of OpenAI, founded Thinking Machines Lab in February 2025. The company's mission is to make AI systems more understandable, customizable, and capable for everyone. NVIDIA's CEO, Jensen Huang, stated that AI is becoming an increasingly powerful tool for scientific discovery. He expressed enthusiasm for partnering with Thinking Machines to realize their vision for the future of AI.
