Texas BBQ Championship Update

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo's World's Championship Bar-B-Que Contest named "All Jacked Up" as the Overall Grand Champion. The event, which concluded on March 1, 2026, involved over 250 teams. Hardin County Go Texan was named Reserve Overall Grand Champion. Victoria County Go Texan won the Brisket category, while America Royal Winner – Wag's Backwoods BBQ secured the Ribs title. Kings BBQ, under the name Jack Daniels Winner, took home the Chicken championship. Calhoun County Go Texan was the Open Contest champion. David Causey of Pressure Cookers was the champion in the Jr. Cook-Off. Holy Cow Cookers received the Best Façade award. The Half Fast Cookers won the WCBBQ Games. BBQ Austin took place March 6-7, 2026, at the Travis County Expo Center. The event included a BBQ cook-off, live music, and a carnival. Several other BBQ competitions are scheduled throughout Texas in 2026. These include Smokin on the Rio, Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, Cedar Fest, and the Lone Star Smokeout.
