Arnold Classic Prep Intensifies

Martin Fitzwater is in final prep for the 2026 Arnold Classic, which kicks off in just three days. Fitzwater shared his intense chest workout routine via social media, demonstrating both his conditioning and the high stakes for this year's Men's Open division.

This year's Arnold Classic boasts the largest prize purse in the event's history, with the Men's Open champion set to take home a record-breaking $750,000. The total prize money for the contest has been increased to $1.5 million across all categories, a move Arnold Schwarzenegger said was to ensure the athletes are appropriately rewarded. This will be Martin Fitzwater's debut on the prestigious Arnold Classic stage in Columbus, Ohio. His preparation comes after a strong season, including a fifth-place finish at the Mr. Olympia and a significant victory over former Olympia winner Samson Dauda at the Prague Pro. The competition is fierce, with Hadi Choopan and Chinedu "Jacked" Obiekea considered the frontrunners. Choopan and Obiekea are coming off second and third-place finishes at the most recent Mr. Olympia. The lineup also includes former Mr. Olympia champion Brandon Curry and the formidable Nick Walker. Despite Fitzwater's recent momentum and victories, some bodybuilding veterans do not see him as the favorite. Many have predicted either Choopan or Obiekea will take the title, setting the stage for a potential upset by Fitzwater as he seeks his first major professional win.
