StocktonCon Winter Event Scheduled for Feb 28-Mar 1
Downtown Stockton announced STOCKTONCON Winter 2026, a family-friendly convention scheduled for February 28-March 1. The event will take place at the Adventist Health Arena on W Fremont St in Stockton, approximately a 90-minute drive from the Bay Area.
- The event has grown significantly since its start in 2012, when it unexpectedly drew thousands of attendees instead of the anticipated 500. By its second year, it had to move to the larger Stockton Arena (now Adventist Health Arena) to accommodate the crowds. - A portion of the proceeds from StocktonCon benefits local charities; in its first decade, the event raised over $180,000 for various non-profits. - The Adventist Health Arena is a multi-purpose venue with a capacity of up to 12,000 and is also the home of the Stockton Kings, the NBA G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings. Be aware that the arena is a cashless facility, so all on-site purchases must be made with a card or mobile payment. - For those traveling from Fremont, the drive is approximately 59 miles and can take a little over an hour. Alternatively, the Altamont Corridor Express (ACE) train offers a direct route from Fremont to Stockton in about 1 hour and 42 minutes. - Inside, attendees can expect over 200 exhibitors and artists, panel discussions, gaming tournaments, and cosplay contests for both kids and adults. - General admission tickets cover both days of the event, with pre-sale prices around $20-$28, while tickets purchased at the box office on the day of the event will be more expensive. Children 12 and under are admitted for free with a paying adult.
