Fremont Restaurant Week Kicks Off with 70 Deals

Fremont Restaurant Week is now underway, offering special menus and deals at 70 participating local establishments. The event is designed to encourage residents to support the city's diverse culinary scene.

Now in its fourth year, Fremont Restaurant Week runs from March 6 to March 15. The event has grown significantly since its inception, with the number of participating establishments increasing from 40 in its first year to 70 in 2026. The event was originally launched in 2023 to help local restaurants recover from the economic effects of the pandemic. A survey following the inaugural event showed that a majority of participating restaurants saw at least a 25% increase in revenue. This year's promotion is a collaboration between the City of Fremont's Economic Development Department, the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, and Yelp Bay Area. In previous years, global foodservice leader Sysco has been a sponsor of the event. Diners can expect a wide range of deals, including prix fixe menus, special pairings, and limited-time dishes. For example, some restaurants, like Federico's Grill, are offering three-course prix fixe dinners, while others, such as El Patio, have specials on specific menu items. The 70 participating restaurants represent the culinary diversity of Fremont, with cuisines ranging from Afghan and Indian to Mexican and Italian. Long-standing local favorites like Massimo's and Papillon are participating alongside newer establishments. To encourage exploration, diners can use a "restaurant passport" to collect stamps from participating eateries. In 2024, over 3,000 completed passports were submitted for a chance to win prizes.
