A previously unissued Mal Waldron set titled Stardust & Starlight: Live at the Jazz Showcase — recorded in August 1979 with Steve Rodby and Wilbur Campbell and featuring Sonny Stitt on two tracks — is being issued as a 2LP Record Store Day release on 18 April 2026. (joseyrecords.com ) That Mal Waldron 2LP is being pressed by Resonance/Resonance-associated outlets as a limited RSD pressing (180-gram 2LP) with a reported run of about 1,800 copies for the event. (yellowdogdiscs.com ) Immanuel Wilkins’ first-ever live document, Immanuel Wilkins Quartet: Live At The Village Vanguard, is arriving as a three‑volume project with Vol. 1 released March 20, 2026 on LP, CD and digital, and Vols. 2 and 3 set for digital release on 17 April and 15 May respectively; the quartet on the dates is Micah Thomas (piano), Ryoma Takenaga (bass) and Kweku Sumbry (drums). (bluenote.com ) Buster Williams’ 1975 album Pinnacle has been remastered for a Record Store Day reissue due 18 April 2026 on Time Traveler Recordings (Muse master edition), credited as a limited RSD pressing of around 1,500 copies and featuring the original Blue Rock Studios personnel including Woody Shaw, Sonny Fortune, Onaje Allan Gumbs and Billy Hart.
