Good Riddance Returns March 27

Punk veterans Good Riddance unveiled new single "Drive Faster" from their forthcoming album *Before The World Caves In* dropping March 27 via Fat Wreck Chords. The track is described as instantly catchy and thematically focused on youth's innocence and seeming invulnerability. Critics expect the album to blend the band's signature energy with more reflective lyrics.

*Before The World Caves In* was produced by Bill Stevenson, the influential drummer for punk legends the Descendents. Stevenson has been behind the boards for every Good Riddance album since 1999's *Operation Phoenix*. This marks the tenth studio album for the Santa Cruz veterans and their third full-length release since officially reuniting in 2012. The band had previously been on a hiatus after a farewell show in their hometown in 2007. For decades, the band has been known for its blend of fast, melodic hardcore and politically charged lyrics. Vocalist Russ Rankin often tackles themes of social justice, animal rights, and political criticism in his songwriting. The band's longtime lineup consists of Russ Rankin on vocals, Luke Pabich on guitar, Chuck Platt on bass, and Sean Sellers on drums. All members have also been involved in other musical projects, including Outlie and Only Crime. Their label, Fat Wreck Chords, was co-founded in 1990 by NOFX frontman Michael "Fat Mike" Burkett and his then-wife, Erin Burkett. The San Francisco-based independent label was instrumental in shaping the California punk sound of the 1990s with bands like Lagwagon, No Use for a Name, and Propagandhi.
