Santorini LXR reopens
Sandblu Santorini, Hilton’s first LXR Hotels & Resorts property in Greece, reopens April 8 as a 66‑key resort perched above Kamari’s black sand beach blending design and wellness (safariindia.com). The property is being promoted as a new luxury benchmark in the Cyclades and joins other planned Hilton luxury debuts in Greece for 2026 (latribunedelhotellerie.com).
Rooms are configured as 36 rooms, 27 suites and three villas, with the villas described as offering private pools and wide terraces. (stories.hilton.com)) Twenty-nine of the property’s accommodations include private pools, a notably high share among recent Cyclades openings. (stories.hilton.com)) The resort’s six dining outlets name-check Nectar and Plateia, feature Aroma — a 300-label wine cellar — and Stari Bakery, while Blu is an off-property, Rockwell Group–designed terrace restaurant overlooking Santorini’s Caldera (a UNESCO Geological Heritage site). (stories.hilton.com)) Wellness and leisure amenities list two infinity pools, a spa with sauna and indoor pool, a two‑storey fitness studio, a yoga garden, a kids’ club and a dedicated beach area. (stories.hilton.com)) Hilton signed the property in partnership with RMKA Private Company, positioning Sandblu as LXR’s Greece entry as the collection approaches nearly 40 properties operating or under development globally. (stories.hilton.com)) Sandblu originally opened as an independent hotel in July 2024 and is transitioning into the LXR portfolio for the 2026 season, with reservations being taken under the new affiliation.
