*Paddington the Musical* and the revival of Stephen Sondheim's *Into the Woods* are the frontrunners for the 2026 Olivier Awards, each securing a formidable 11 nominations. This ties them as the most-nominated productions of the season, setting up a major showdown at London's most prestigious theatre awards. The nominations for *Paddington* recognize the duo who bring the beloved bear to life, James Hameed and Arti Shah, with a joint nomination for Best Actor in a Musical. The show also picked up nods for Best New Musical, Best Director, and for supporting actors Tom Edden, Amy Booth-Steel, and Victoria Hamilton-Barritt. The Bridge Theatre's staging of *Into the Woods* earned nominations for its lead actors, Jamie Parker and Katie Brayben, and for Best Musical Revival. The production also saw an impressive three of its supporting cast nominated: Kate Fleetwood, Jo Foster, and Oliver Savile. Other productions making a strong showing include the revival of Arthur Miller's *All My Sons* and the new plays *Stereophonic* and *Kenrex*, which all garnered six nominations each.
