Street Food Festival bus changes
AGERPRES posted that several Bucharest bus lines — specifically routes 100, 203 and 205 — will be deviated because of the Street Food Festival. (x.com). Commuters using those lines should expect route changes on festival days. (x.com)
Three Bucharest bus lines — 100, 203 and 205 — are running on detours this weekend as the Street Food Festival closes part of Kiseleff Road. (agerpres.ro) The changes began Thursday, April 16, at 10 p.m. and are scheduled to last until Monday, April 20, at 6 a.m., according to AGERPRES and Bucharest’s public transport operator, STB. The closure covers Șoseaua Kiseleff between Arhitect Ion Mincu Street and Piața Victoriei. (agerpres.ro) (stb.ro) Route 100, which links Henri Coandă Airport arrivals with central Bucharest, is diverted after Piața Arcul de Triumf on trips toward Piața Unirii, via Mareșal Constantin Prezan Boulevard, Aviatorilor Boulevard, Piața Victoriei, Lascăr Catargiu Boulevard, Magheru, Bălcescu and I.C. Brătianu. (agerpres.ro) Route 203, which runs from Cartier Greenfield, follows its normal path to Piața Arcul de Triumf and then diverts toward Piața Victoriei on Mareșal Constantin Prezan Boulevard and Aviatorilor Boulevard. Route 205, from M Străulești, keeps its normal route to Piața Arcul de Triumf and then heads toward Piața Unirii through Piața Victoriei and Calea Victoriei. (agerpres.ro) The detours apply in one direction only. AGERPRES reported that the opposite direction stays unchanged for all three lines. (agerpres.ro) The festival itself is scheduled for April 18-19 on Kiseleff Boulevard, with free entry, according to local event listings. Visit Bucharest listed the site as Kiseleff Boulevard, and InfoMusic listed live sets by VAMA on April 18 and Moonlight Breakfast on April 19. (visitbucharest.today) (infomusic.ro) Traffic restrictions extend beyond buses. Buletin de București, citing the Bucharest traffic police, reported that road traffic on the same Kiseleff segment is restricted from Friday, April 17, at 8 p.m. until Monday, April 20, at 6 a.m., with daytime limits of 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. during the April 18-19 festival window. (buletin.de) For riders, the practical change is simple: airport, Greenfield and Străulești buses still run, but trips heading into central Bucharest will bypass the closed Kiseleff stretch until early Monday.
