Anthropic valuation offers reported

Reports circulated that Anthropic has received venture capital offers valuing the company at about $800 billion, a claim presented as market interest rather than confirmed financing. The report surfaced on social channels and was framed as outward investor interest rather than a closed deal. (x.com)

Anthropic has received investor offers that would value the company at about $800 billion, but no new financing has been announced. (reuters.com) Reuters reported on April 14 that venture capital firms had made multiple recent approaches at valuations as high as $800 billion, citing Business Insider. Bloomberg separately reported the offers were for a potential new round and said Anthropic had so far resisted them. (reuters.com) (bloomberg.com) The reported price is more than double the valuation from Anthropic’s last financing. On February 12, Anthropic said it raised $30 billion in a Series G round at a $380 billion post-money valuation, implying a $350 billion pre-money valuation. (anthropic.com) (bloomberg.com) Anthropic’s business has been growing fast enough to fuel that investor interest. The company said in February that its revenue run rate had reached $14 billion, and Bloomberg reported on April 6 that the figure had climbed to more than $30 billion, up from $9 billion at the end of 2025. (anthropic.com) (bloomberg.com) That growth has come from corporate customers buying Anthropic’s Claude tools for coding and other work tasks. Anthropic said in February that more than 500 customers were spending over $1 million a year, and Bloomberg reported in April that the count had passed 1,000. (anthropic.com) (bloomberg.com) The company has also been spending heavily to keep up with demand. Bloomberg reported on April 6 that Anthropic had confirmed plans to work with Google and Broadcom on computing infrastructure, as the company pushed to expand capacity for its models. (bloomberg.com) The fundraising chatter comes as Anthropic is weighing a public listing. Bloomberg reported on March 27 that the company had held early talks with Wall Street banks about an initial public offering as soon as October 2026. (bloomberg.com) Anthropic declined to comment to Bloomberg on the latest offers, and Bloomberg said the discussions were still early enough that a deal might not happen or could change materially. For now, the $800 billion figure is a measure of investor appetite, not a completed round. (bloomberg.com)
