Dexcom shows positive Type 2 diabetes data

Dexcom G7 CGM data shows it supports weight management and lower A1C in type 2 diabetes patients not on insulin.

Data showed a statistically significant and sustained reduction in A1C, a key measure of long-term blood sugar control. Participants in the study also experienced weight loss, which is an added benefit for those managing type 2 diabetes. The study included people with type 2 diabetes who were not using insulin, highlighting the potential of Dexcom G7 for a broader population. These findings could expand the role of continuous glucose monitoring in diabetes care beyond insulin-dependent individuals. Dexcom also presented its product roadmap at the Advanced Technologies & Treatments for Diabetes (ATTD) 2026 conference. This suggests a continued focus on innovation and expanding the capabilities of their CGM technology.
