New EDM Fest in Indio
Goldenvoice just announced a new EDM festival in Indio this October EDM — Coachella grounds — headlined by Calvin Harris, Swedish House Mafia, and Skrillex EDM.
It's called Portola, and pre-sale starts Friday at 10 AM PT. Other acts include Gesaffelstein, Fisher, and Nelly Furtado. Many artists lean more house and techno than the main stage acts. This marks the first time Goldenvoice has put on an EDM-focused festival at the Empire Polo Club. They've promoted electronic acts at Coachella for years, but Portola goes all-in. The announcement comes as electronic music continues its resurgence in popularity.
