Pokémon GO is bringing back its giant-boss format on Saturday, April 25, with a three-hour Replay: GO Bigger event built around four Gigantamax fights. (pokemon.com) From 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time, Gigantamax Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, and Gengar will appear in Max Battles at designated Power Spots. Players need teams of Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon to take them on. (pokemon.com) Niantic is stacking the event with resource boosts: the Max Particle cap rises to 1,600, Power Spots refresh more often, extra Power Spots go live, and Power Spots give 8 times the usual Max Particles. Up to three Special Trades are also available that day. (pokemon.com) Max Battles are Pokémon GO’s large-group battles tied to Power Spots rather than standard Gyms. Pokémon.com said these Gigantamax encounters work best with coordinated local groups, and earlier GO Bigger coverage said groups of 10 to 40 trainers may be needed for some bosses. (pokemon.com) (pokemongolive.com) The April 25 event is a replay, not a debut. Pokémon GO Hub described it as a return of the Kanto Gigantamax lineup, giving players another shot at bosses that were previously limited-time encounters. (pokemongohub.net) There is also a paid track. A US$4.99 ticket unlocks event-exclusive Timed Research that awards 1 Max Mushroom, 25,000 experience points, and 6,400 Max Particles, plus double experience from Max Battles for ticket holders. (pokemon.com) A separate limit change stretches beyond the three-hour window. Pokémon.com said the daily Remote Raid limit will increase from 10 to 20 from April 24 at 5 p.m. to April 25 at 8 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time, while exploration bonuses on April 25 include double Max Particles and one-quarter adventuring distance to receive them. (pokemon.com) For players deciding whether to log in, the event is short and local by design: three hours, four Gigantamax bosses, and boosted Power Spots on Saturday afternoon. (pokemon.com)
