Bengaluru to Host 'Sixth Sense' Arts & Tech Festival
Bengaluru will host the Sixth Sense Festival, an immersive event that explores the intersection of art, sound, technology, and the natural world. The multidisciplinary festival is set to feature cutting-edge creations and innovative concepts for attendees.
- The festival is curated by Swordfish, the creative agency known for creating India's greenest circular music festival, Echoes of Earth. - It will be held from February 5-22, 2026, at Alembic City in Whitefield, a repurposed 60-year-old glass factory spanning over 200,000 square feet. - A key feature is a collaboration with Germany's The NODE Institute, which will present India's first-ever TouchDesigner sessions, including masterclasses and panels on experience design, data visualization, and AI. - One installation, "Superradiance" by Memo Akten and Katie Hofstadter, explicitly uses generative AI to explore themes of technology and planetary awareness. - Another installation called "Signals" by the new media collective Ephemereal Tomorrow will capture bat echolocation in real-time and translate the data into an evolving audiovisual composition using sound and laser light. - The event anticipates over 35,000 attendees and will feature more than 15 art-tech installations and a 360° immersive dome. - Musical headliners include electronic composer and former scientist Max Cooper, who is known for integrating complex electronic music with immersive visual storytelling.
