Aecon Group Adds Infrastructure Expertise
Aecon Group added Jeff Lyash (former CEO, Tennessee Valley Authority) to its board. This highlights the value of infrastructure expertise transferable to both public and private sectors.
Lyash's appointment, effective immediately, means he'll stand for election as Director at Aecon's next Annual General Meeting on June 1, 2026. Aecon Chairman John M. Beck stated that Lyash's nuclear and power sector experience aligns with Aecon's growth strategy. Lyash brings four decades of experience in the nuclear and power industries, including over 20 years as a senior corporate executive. He previously served as President and CEO at Tennessee Valley Authority and Ontario Power Generation. His resume also includes leadership roles at Chicago Bridge & Iron Power, Duke Energy, and Progress Energy Florida. Aecon is involved in several large infrastructure projects, including urban transit systems and nuclear refurbishment projects. These include the Finch West LRT and the Eglinton Crosstown LRT. Aecon is also working on the Darlington Small Modular Reactor (SMR) project.
