Kagent Framework Released for AI on Kubernetes
A new CNCF framework called Kagent has been released for deploying and managing AI agents on Kubernetes. The framework treats agents as native Kubernetes resources and includes support for multiple LLMs, Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools, and OpenTelemetry tracing for observability.
- Kagent was developed by Solo.io, a cloud-native application networking company, and submitted to the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) as a sandbox project.
