Bonkers Corner Gets $10.5M

Bonkers Corner secured Rs 95 crore ($10.5M) Series A led by India SME Investment Fund. The significant round demonstrates continued investor interest in Indian consumer brands despite broader funding slowdowns in the region.

The recent funding round places Bonkers Corner's post-money valuation at approximately Rs 430 crore (around $48 million). Following the investment, founder Shubham Gupta and his wife, Reena Gupta, will retain a majority stake of 70.62% in the company. India SME Investment Fund led the round with a Rs 64.5 crore infusion, securing a 15% stake in the fashion brand. Other key investors in this Series A round included Radhakrishna Ramnarain Pvt Ltd, which invested Rs 17.8 crore, and Rajesh Raheja, who contributed Rs 3 crore. The funding also saw participation from Namita Thapar of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, who invested Rs 50 lakh through Thapar Vision LLP. This investment completes a Rs 1.5 crore commitment Thapar had previously made to Bonkers Corner during its appearance on the television show Shark Tank India. Founded in 2020 by Shubham Gupta, the Mumbai-based company has carved a niche in the streetwear segment, offering oversized graphic T-shirts, hoodies, gym wear, and co-ord sets for men and women. Bonkers Corner plans to utilize the fresh capital to expand its offline retail footprint, signaling a strategic move towards an omnichannel approach to deepen its market penetration across India. This follows a period of strong financial performance, with the company reporting an operating revenue of Rs 123 crore and a profit of Rs 4.3 crore for the fiscal year ending March 2025.
