"DEADLINE" debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200, making it their fifth album to chart. The mini-album "DEADLINE" sold 1.46 million copies on its first day, breaking the record for K-pop girl groups. First-week sales reached 1.77 million, surpassing aespa's "My World" which previously held the record at 1.69 million. YG Entertainment has stated that additional production is underway to meet global demand. Critics had mixed reactions to "DEADLINE," with Rolling Stone praising the group's peak form, while Pitchfork criticized it as "bare-bones". Despite the divided reviews, the album topped iTunes charts in 38 regions. The music video for "GO" quickly became the most-viewed video on YouTube within 24 hours of release.
