Paris Baguette Opens New Texas Location
The global bakery café chain Paris Baguette has opened a new location in Richardson, Texas, as of February 27. The brand, which has over 4,000 locations worldwide, is continuing its rapid expansion in the U.S. market.
Despite its French-inspired name, Paris Baguette was founded in South Korea in 1988 by the SPC Group, a South Korean food and confectionery conglomerate. The chain first entered the U.S. market in 2005 and has since expanded to over 200 locations across the country. The Richardson location is the company's 25th bakery café in Texas. This opening is part of an aggressive North American expansion strategy, with the company aiming to have 1,000 stores in the U.S. and Canada by 2030. To support its rapid growth in the region, Paris Baguette is investing $160 million to build its first North American manufacturing plant in Burleson, Texas. The new facility, expected to begin production in 2027, will supply artisanal pastries and breads to its cafes and create 450 jobs. The Richardson franchise is owned and operated by two local couples, Sweta Goyal and Puneet Mittal, and Mamta and Rajneesh Singhal. This is the first of five Paris Baguette locations they plan to open in the North Texas area.
