HoneyLuv Teams With Muni Long
HoneyLuv and GRAMMY-winning singer-songwriter Muni Long have teamed up for the new house anthem "Don't Stop", a track already gaining traction in the clubs and online. This collaboration represents a crossover between mainstream R&B and underground house music.
Before her ascent in the house music scene, HoneyLuv, born Taylor Character, served in the U.S. Navy as a drone operator. She taught herself to DJ while enlisted and has since performed at major festivals like Coachella and collaborated with artists such as Chris Lake, Seth Troxler, and Idris Elba. Muni Long, whose real name is Priscilla Renea Hamilton, was a prolific songwriter before achieving solo stardom. She penned hits for artists like Rihanna ("California King Bed"), Pitbull ("Timber"), and Fifth Harmony ("Worth It"). Long's transition to a solo artist was catapulted by the viral TikTok success of her song "Hrs and Hrs," which led to a record deal with Def Jam Recordings and a Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance. Her 2023 single, "Made for Me," also broke into the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100. The collaboration "Don't Stop" was a two-year journey from idea to reality, according to HoneyLuv. Released on Casablanca Records, the track quickly gained notice, landing on prominent Apple Music playlists like "danceXL" and "New Music Daily," and was featured as a "Staff Pick" on the influential dance music platform Beatport.
