Conor Benn vs Prograis Set April

British welterweight Conor Benn will face former world champion Regis Prograis on April 11 at Wembley Stadium, marking Benn's first fight under Zuffa Boxing after their $15 million acquisition. BBC Sport confirms the bout will be on the undercard of Tyson Fury's comeback against Arslanbek Makhmudov. Benn's only defeat came against Chris Eubank Jr. in 2024, while Prograis seeks to reestablish himself atop the 140 lb division.

This bout marks Conor Benn's first outing since avenging his only professional loss to Chris Eubank Jr. in their November 2025 rematch. Benn dominated the fight, winning a unanimous decision with scores of 119-107, 118-108, and 116-110, and knocked Eubank Jr. down twice in the final round. The fight is the first under Benn's new deal with Zuffa Boxing, a promotion headed by UFC CEO Dana White and backed by Saudi Arabia's Sela. The move to the new entity was a significant shift for Benn, who had a career-long association with Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing. Benn's career was previously stalled by a doping controversy in 2022, when two positive tests for clomiphene caused the cancellation of his first scheduled fight with Eubank Jr. The World Boxing Council later cleared Benn, ruling that a "highly-elevated consumption of eggs" was a reasonable explanation for the adverse findings. Regis Prograis, a two-time super-lightweight world champion, is looking to bounce back into title contention. The 37-year-old from New Orleans has suffered two of his three career losses in the UK, both in world title fights against Josh Taylor in 2019 and Jack Catterall in 2024. Prograis, nicknamed "Rougarou," holds a record of 30 wins with 24 knockouts. He captured the WBA title in 2019 and later won the WBC belt in 2022 by knocking out Jose Zepeda. His most recent fight was a unanimous decision victory over Joseph Diaz in August 2025. Interestingly, the two fighters have a history on the same card. Prograis noted, "Last time I fought in London, Conor Benn was on my undercard, so this is a full-circle moment for me." The high-profile welterweight clash serves as the co-main event to Tyson Fury's heavyweight comeback against Arslanbek Makhmudov. The entire event, staged at London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, is part of Zuffa Boxing's ambitious plan to apply a UFC-style promotional model to the sport.
