Martin Fitzwater's Arnold Prep

Bodybuilder Martin Fitzwater shared his final chest workout just three days before the 2026 Arnold Classic. Fitzwater's session focused on heavy pressing and high-volume work to maximize muscle fullness before competition.

The 2026 Arnold Classic is the second most prestigious event in professional bodybuilding, behind only the Mr. Olympia, and this year features a historic $750,000 prize for the Men's Open winner—a larger purse than the Olympia itself. The event, co-founded by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jim Lorimer in 1989, is an invitational competition drawing the sport's elite to Columbus, Ohio. Fitzwater faces a stacked lineup of top-tier talent. The favorites include Hadi Choopan, the 2022 Mr. Olympia champion, and Andrew 'Jacked' Obiekea, who placed third at the most recent Olympia. Despite Fitzwater's momentum, many bodybuilding veterans and experts have publicly picked either Choopan or Jacked to take home the title. This competition comes after a breakthrough period for Fitzwater. In 2024, he won his first pro show at the Detroit Pro and later placed an impressive fourth at the Mr. Olympia. He carried that momentum into 2025, placing fifth at the Olympia before defeating top competitor Samson Dauda to win the EVLS Prague Pro. Before his bodybuilding career, Fitzwater built a strong athletic foundation in Wyoming. A former football player, he was also a three-time state champion in shot put and a two-time champion in discus, skills that built the power he's now known for on the pro stage.
