World of Warcraft Midnight Expansion Live

World of Warcraft: Midnight is now live, continuing the Worldsoul Saga with new zones, challenges, and narrative arcs. This expansion plunges players deeper into Azeroth's evolving crises, targeting both veteran and returning players with fresh content.

*Midnight* is the second act in the ambitious three-part Worldsoul Saga, picking up the narrative directly from the conclusion of *The War Within*. This multi-expansion story arc, designed to cap off 20 years of lore, will conclude with the final installment, *The Last Titan*. The central antagonist is Xal'atath, the Harbinger, a void entity freed during a previous campaign. Her primary goal is to invade the blood elf kingdom of Quel'Thalas and extinguish the Sunwell, a font of immense power, thereby plunging Azeroth into darkness. Players will venture through four distinct zones, including a graphically updated Eversong Woods and a rebuilt Silvermoon City. The expansion also adds three entirely new zones: the ancestral troll lands of Zul'Aman, the bioluminescent jungle of Harandar, and the chaotic, reality-bending Voidstorm. A new playable Allied Race, the Haranir, is introduced within the Harandar zone. These reclusive, nature-guarding people can be unlocked by both Alliance and Horde players through the main story campaign. After years of player requests, a full player housing system has been implemented. These homes are account-wide, available to all characters in a player's "Warband," with customization items earned through various in-game activities. The level cap has been raised to 90, and Demon Hunters gain a new void-themed, mid-range damage specialization called Devourer. PvP players can engage in Slayer's Rise, a new 40-versus-40 battleground set within the Voidstorm. The story features prominent returning characters like Arator Windrunner, son of Alleria and Turalyon, who is central to a new animated short and questline. Rogue Valeera Sanguinar also steps into a key role, replacing Brann Bronzebeard as the companion for Delve content. For endgame content, *Midnight* launched with eight new dungeons and a seasonal structure featuring three separate raids. The initial major raid encounter takes players into the Void Spire to directly confront Xal'atath's forces.
