Porsche unveils 911 Turbo S Sadu Edition

- Porsche said on May 21 it unveiled the 911 Turbo S Sadu Edition, a 20-car Kuwait-only model marking 70 years of the brand there. - Porsche said the 20 cars will be finished by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur in Zuffenhausen and feature Sadu-inspired exterior and interior detailing. - The cars will be offered only in Kuwait through Behbehani Motors Company, Porsche’s official importer in the market.

Porsche said on May 21 that it has unveiled a Kuwait-only 911 Turbo S Sadu Edition to mark 70 years of the brand in the country. The company said production will be limited to 20 cars, all based on the latest 911 Turbo S of the 992.II generation and reserved for the Kuwaiti market. Porsche said the model was created as a tribute to both its local history and Al Sadu, the traditional wool-weaving craft associated with Kuwait and the wider Arabian Peninsula. The release ties the car to Porsche’s earliest Middle East history. Porsche said the first Porsche sports car imported to the region was a 356 Cabriolet brought to Kuwait by Morad Behbehani in 1956, and that Behbehani Motors Company remains the official importer in Kuwait seven decades later. In a separate company history published this week, Porsche said Behbehani had been named general representative for Kuwait and Bahrain in a letter dated April 12, 1954. Porsche said the edition draws directly from Al Sadu, a traditional weaving style known for horizontal geometric patterns and bold, dark colors. The company said those motifs were translated into both exterior and interior details on the car as a way to reference Kuwaiti cultural heritage. Porsche also noted that Sadu weaving was added to UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2020. (newsroom.porsche.com) Ali Behbehani, president of Behbehani Motors Company, said the model reflects both “the traditions of the Kuwait market” and the customization capabilities of Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur. Dr. Manfred Bräunl, chief executive officer of Porsche Middle East and Africa, said the project had been “years in the making” and called the final car “a fitting tribute to the Behbehani family’s 70-year Porsche story.” (newsroom.porsche.com) ### What exactly is different on the car? Porsche said the Sadu Edition uses a two-tone leather interior in Black and Bordeaux Red with Lightsilver accents. The company said the cabin includes hand-stitched cross-stitch detailing in GT Silver and Bordeaux Red across the dashboard, doors, rear compartment, seats and center console. Porsche also said the cars carry additional Sadu-pattern elements inside and out. (newsroom.porsche.com) The finishing work will be done in Germany. Porsche said all 20 vehicles will receive their special detailing through Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur in Zuffenhausen, next to the 911 production line. Porsche Centre Kuwait has recently used that personalization program in local events, including a 2025 showroom presentation for Exclusive Manufaktur-themed 911 Turbo 50 Years models in Shuwaikh. (newsroom.porsche.com) ### What is the underlying 911 Turbo S? Porsche’s base vehicle is the latest 911 Turbo S introduced in September 2025. Porsche said that model is the most powerful production 911 to date, with 701 horsepower from a twin-turbo T-Hybrid powertrain and a 0-60 mph time of 2.4 seconds. The company said the Sadu Edition is based on that latest Turbo S platform rather than an earlier generation car. (newsroom.porsche.com) ### Why Kuwait, and why now? Kuwait occupies a specific place in Porsche’s regional history. Porsche said the first 356 imported there in 1956 started the marque’s Middle East presence, and that Behbehani Motors Company was formed the same year to expand the business. The company said Kuwait also became home to the ninth Porsche sales and technical service center in the world. (newsroom.porsche.com) Porsche said the next step for the Sadu Edition is local distribution through Kuwait only. The company’s release said all 20 cars will be available exclusively in the Kuwaiti market through Behbehani Motors Company and Porsche Centre Kuwait.
