New Dawn Fades Crushes Debut

Philadelphia heavy rock group New Dawn Fades just unveiled crushing new single "New Evil" from their upcoming debut album *Lores*. The track blends doom and psychedelic rock influences, introducing the band's unique sound to a wider audience. Rising acts like this are perfect discoveries for alternative rock road trip playlists.

The upcoming debut full-length from New Dawn Fades, titled *Lores*, is slated for release on March 25, 2026. The album will feature eight tracks, with "New Evil" serving as the closing song. The band has stated that as soon as drummer Steve Roche finished mixing "New Evil," they knew it had to be the final track on the record. Prior to "New Evil," the band released two other singles from the album: "Villains Come To Light," the explosive opening track, and the more introspective "Leave My Loneliness Unbroken." *Lores* will be available on major streaming platforms and as a 12-inch colored vinyl. New Dawn Fades is comprised of members with a history in other notable bands. Vocalist and guitarist GFA is from Ritual Earth and Halo Of Snakes, guitarist Corey Pettingill was in Blackhand, bassist Algar played with Green Meteor, and drummer Steve Roche was a member of Saetia and Off Minor. The band draws on a variety of influences, including doom, grunge, and metal. They cite iconic acts such as Soundgarden, Black Sabbath, Queens Of The Stone Age, and Corrosion Of Conformity as inspirations for their heavy and dynamic sound. Fans will have an opportunity to see the band live, as they are scheduled to play a show in Philadelphia at PhilaMOCA on April 24, 2026, alongside Deathbird Earth, Disappearances, and Red Brick.
