Modern slavery cases reported on the rise in London

BBC London reports a rise in modern slavery cases across the city. Survivors have described being coerced into criminal activities. The trend is drawing increased attention from policymakers and highlights a significant social issue within the capital.

Major late-stage funding rounds in the second half of 2024 included commercial intelligence platform Lighthouse, which raised a $370m Series C, and crypto e-commerce company Boom Technologies, which secured $500m.
