UAE Flight Deals Drop Below $175
New airfare deals to the UAE show one-way flights from the Philippines for ₱9,694 (about $170 USD) and from Thailand for ฿6,384 (about $175 USD). Round-trip options start from ₱29,363 and ฿15,485 respectively. Sample fares include June 13, 2026 departures and May 17-24, 2025 returns.
These low fares arrive amidst a regional trend of rising ticket prices. Reports in late 2025 showed that airfares in the Asia-Pacific and Middle East had increased by 8% and 15% respectively since 2019, driven by inflation and reduced airline competition. This makes the sub-$175 deals a notable exception to the recent pattern of escalating travel costs. The timing of these deals coincides with strengthening economic ties between the nations. The UAE and the Philippines signed a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) in January 2026, the Philippines' first such deal with a Middle Eastern country. The UAE and Thailand are also in the final stages of negotiating their own CEPA, with over 80% of the talks completed by February 2026. These agreements are built on a foundation of robust trade. The UAE is Thailand's largest trading partner in the Middle East, with non-oil trade reaching $3.2 billion in the first half of 2023. Similarly, bilateral trade between the UAE and the Philippines hit nearly $1.83 billion in 2024, making the UAE a critical economic partner. Intense airline competition on these routes contributes to the availability of low fares. A mix of full-service carriers like Emirates, Etihad, and Philippine Airlines, alongside budget airlines such as Cebu Pacific and Air Arabia, operate frequent flights, creating a competitive environment for pricing. Travel is also bolstered by a large Filipino diaspora in the UAE, which creates consistent demand for flights for both labor and leisure. For Thailand, the UAE is its second-largest trading partner in the ASEAN bloc, encouraging frequent business travel. The new economic agreements are expected to further boost demand by creating more opportunities for professionals and enhancing market access for goods and services.
